Rosacea, also known as acne rosacea, is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the face, but can also affect other areas such as the neck, chest, shoulders, and back. It is characterized by the appearance of redness, flushing, lumps, and pustules that can be painful and itchy. Rosacea is usually more persistent and difficult to treat than traditional acne vulgaris.
