Frequently asked questions

  1. What are the indications for a hair transplant?
Indications include androgenetic alopecia, hair loss due to trauma, and the desire to increase hair density. Detailed assessment and qualification are carried out during a medical consultation.
  2. What hair transplant techniques are used at the clinic?
We use FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) – DHI (Direct Hair Implantation). This modern method offers a natural-looking result and is performed without a scalpel.
  3. Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is done under local anesthesia and is well tolerated. Patients can even use their phone during the second stage of the procedure (hair implantation), as they lie on their back at that time.
  4. How long does the procedure take?
The duration depends on the number of grafts. It’s best to set aside an entire day – for about 1500–2000 grafts, the procedure typically takes 8–9 hours.
  5. How long is the recovery period after the procedure?
Most patients return to normal activities after a few days. Full results are usually visible after 6–12 months. In the days following the procedure, avoid intense physical activity. The first hair washes and dressing changes are done at the clinic and are included in the transplant price.
  6. Are the results permanent?
Yes, transplanted hair is permanent, as it comes from areas that are genetically resistant to hair loss.
  7. What are the possible side effects of the procedure?
The most common side effects include swelling, redness, or mild discomfort at the transplant site. Serious complications are rare. In case of any concerning symptoms, contact the clinic immediately.
  8. What are the contraindications for a hair transplant
Contraindications include active scalp conditions, infections, fever, blood clotting disorders, and certain autoimmune diseases. A detailed assessment is provided during the medical interview.
  9. Can young people undergo a hair transplant?
Patients must be at least 18 years old and be positively qualified by a doctor.
  10. How should I prepare for the procedure?
Avoid intense physical activity the day before. Do not consume alcohol, smoke, or take blood-thinning painkillers several days prior. On the day of the procedure, eat a light breakfast. Wear a shirt or zip-up top (not one pulled over the head). It’s recommended to arrange for someone to help you return home, as you may be under the influence of medication.
  11. What are the costs of a hair transplant?
The promotional price is EUR 4,000 and lasts until 31 May 2025. The exact price is determined after medical consultation and qualification.
  12. What are the post-procedure recommendations?
Avoid intense physical activity, saunas, and sun exposure for a few weeks. Detailed care instructions and prescriptions are provided by the doctor on the day of the procedure.
  13. How often can the procedure be repeated?
The frequency depends on the individual needs of the patient. This should be discussed during a medical consultation.
  14. Can I return to work right after the procedure?
Most patients return to work after a few days, but it depends on the nature of their job.
  15. What are the differences between FUE and FUT?
FUE involves extracting individual grafts, while FUT involves removing a strip of scalp with hair. FUE is less invasive and leaves no linear scar. DHI involves implanting each graft individually using a precision tool.
  16. What do other patients say about the procedure at your clinic?
We encourage you to check out patient reviews below or on our website and social media. So far, patients have not reported any adverse events.

What does a transplant look like?

What does a transplant look like?

FUE method

The newest and most commonly used hair transplantation method is the FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) technique.

The FUE method involves obtaining hair units from a donor area that is completely shaved before the procedure. After applying local anesthesia, the surgeon uses a specialized tool to make a precise incision around the hair units to harvest them. Then, using tweezers, the grafts are harvested. The scalp is then prepared for transplantation using sapphire blades that create small slits or holes in areas with hair loss or thinning. The previously obtained grafts are implanted into these prepared areas. The wounds after harvesting heal within a few days, and the FUE technique leaves small, scattered and practically invisible scars, which allows for wearing even very short hair in the future.

Step by step procedure

  • 1

The transplant procedure usually takes 5 to 10 hours and consists of 3 stages. The first stage is the collection, which involves manually removing individual grafts from the donor zone. The grafts are sorted and prepared for re-insertion into the scalp. Every hour or at the patient’s request, breaks of a few minutes are made.

  • 2

The second stage is perforation, i.e. puncturing the scalp in the recipient zone and marking the places where previously collected grafts are placed. Between the 2nd and 3rd stage, a longer break is established, about 30-40 minutes for lunch and the patient’s rest.

  • 3

The final stage is the insertion of grafts. In this stage, previously collected and prepared grafts are placed in specific/marked places on the patient’s scalp.

Who is a hair transplant for?

A hair transplant procedure is recommended for people with:

  • male pattern baldness,
  • female pattern baldness,
  • high frontal hairline,
  • scars from plastic surgery,
  • lack of or thinning eyebrows and facial hair.

Effects

After the hair transplant, a healing process begins. During the first month, you can expect the scabs to fall off and a shock of hair loss — the transplanted hair goes into the shedding phase (telogen) to form a new hair with the bulb that the previous hair left in the desired place. The whole process takes about 3 months, and in the following months the first hair growth is noticeable.

Very good results can be seen after 6 months, and a spectacular difference is visible after a year. This is due to the fact that hair grows slowly and it takes time to fully adapt to the new place. If necessary, methods are also used that accelerate the regeneration, healing and adaptation of hair after transplantation.
