Dermapen is an innovative device with which you can improve the appearance of the skin. The treatment is minimally invasive and the effects are visible after the first treatment. The treatment renews the skin both from the inside and the outside, and combines the functions of microdermabrasion and mesotherapy. The treatment with the use of dermapen consists in performing micro-punctures in the skin that allow for its faster regeneration. Under the influence of microdamages in the skin, collagen is produced, thanks to which the skin becomes healthier, better moisturized and elastic. In the initial phase of the process, due to the induced microtrauma, the secretion of platelet-derived growth factors takes place and as a result of the formation of new epidermal cells, fibroblast chemotaxis, fibroblast proliferation and stimulation of the production of intercellular matrix.

In the next phase, tissue proliferation occurs – skin cell proliferation processes cause further secretion of growth factors from fibroblasts, keratinocytes and monocytes, which leads to the next phase of skin remodeling, in which type III, IV and I collagen, elastin, proteoglycans are formed, and angiogenesis processes are stimulated. .

The last phase of the process leads to the reconstruction and remodeling of the treated tissues. The blood supply to the skin improves and its structure is strengthened due to the production of new collagen. There is a gradual improvement in the density and elasticity of the skin, as well as the improvement of skin nourishment.

Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be red, slightly painful or tender. The patient usually feels hot and a little hot. After 3-4 days, a slight peeling of the epidermis may appear. However, this condition is an expected result of the procedure. In order to reduce possible discomfort, the cosmetologist will apply a preparation to the treatment area to soothe erythema and possible swelling.

Sometimes, about three days after the treatment, a slight peeling of the skin may occur. It is possible to combine the Dermapen treatment with strongly regenerating preparations and platelet-rich plasma, which gives the maximum effect of skin renewal. For 3 days after the treatment, it is forbidden to use products with retinoids and vitamin C, it is recommended to use creams with a regenerating and moisturizing effect. A strong recommendation is to use sunscreen with a high SPF and to be especially careful about hygiene.

The effects are usually visible after the first treatment, after 5-7 days the patient notices a clear improvement in the quality of the skin, although the final result of the treatment is visible one month after the end of the treatment.
