The treatment of hyperhidrosis is now very effective, and the use of botox for this purpose brings lasting results.

Sweat helps regulate our body temperature and removes toxins from the body. It is released under the influence of impulses from the nervous system, but also under the influence of emotions. Botox, or botulinum toxin, is used to treat hyperhidrosis in various parts of the body. A small dose of botulinum toxin injected into the skin blocks the action of the nerves that supply the external secretion glands. This method gives a quick effect and long-lasting effectiveness. Botox effectively removes the symptoms of hyperhidrosis, because it paralyzes the nerve endings, which blocks excessive sweat secretion, not just masking it. In addition, botulinum toxin is injected into a specific site, which prevents them from secreting sweat. It is a quick and effective method of treatment for people who have overactive sweat glands. Depending on the area of the body and the patient’s sensitivity, the procedure may be performed under local anesthesia. The treatment should be repeated approximately every 6 months.
