What is laser stimulation?
Laser hair growth stimulation is a method used to stimulate hair growth in people suffering from balding or hair loss. It involves the use of light energy of an appropriate wavelength that is directed at the scalp. This process aims to stimulate the activity of hair follicle cells, which can lead to improved hair quality and density. Laser hair growth therapy works through several potential mechanisms:
- Improved microcirculation: Laser radiation can dilate blood vessels, which can increase blood flow to the scalp and deliver more nutrients to the hair follicle.
- Hair follicle cell stimulation: Laser light can stimulate hair follicle cell activity, leading to increased hair growth.
What does the procedure look like and is it painful?
You should come to the procedure with freshly washed hair. The specialist prepares the treatment area using a laser beam. The procedure is practically painless, depending on the pain threshold the patient may feel slight warmth and stings. Each pass is performed along the partings. The laser stimulation of the scalp procedure is non-ablative, there is no disruption of the continuity of the epidermis and does not require anesthesia.
